The Animal Behavior University Obedience Instructor Training Program (ABU) is designed to provide students with the knowledge necessary to teach dog owners the skills required to humanely and effectively train their dogs. ABU graduates also have increased employment opportunities with the largest dog training company in North America.
The Animal Behavior University Obedience Instructor Training Program curriculum emphasizes the understanding of canine problems as well as solutions using techniques based on decades of experience. This same experience has taught us that while it is important to understand the motivations behind a dog's behavior, exceptional obedience instructors must have a myriad of behavioral solutions at their disposal. Finally, we have endeavored to provide students with the tools that will allow them to become an effective communicator and teacher.
Animal Behavior and Training Associates Inc. (ABTA) presently employs over 350 trainers. ABTA is extremely proud of the quality of their training staff. ABTA offers puppy, basic and advanced group obedience classes, as well as, basic, advanced, and behavior modification programs in home. ABTA is the sole training company used by all Petco stores throughout the United States. This assures a constant need for highly qualified trainers. With the ABU program, we are able to offer a complete education and viable job placement to qualified graduates.
